Types and Stages of Lung Cancer

Stages of lung cancer are decided on how much the lung cancer has spread in the body, whether the cancer is local or has spread from the lungs to other organs or lymph nodes. As lung space is large enough to spread the cancer, signs and symptoms of lung cancer are not visible until the cancer gets advanced and stages of lung cancer 1 and 2 are difficult to detect since the patient would be having symptoms like coughing, fatigue, etc. These are very common signs and symptoms of other respiratory diseases. So often doctors get misdiagnosed lung cancer from other respiratory diseases.  Lung cancer can be classified into two types, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Lung cancer is divided into two types by the microscopic appearance of tumor cells.
